During the fall season, you&rsquo;re bound to have a game or two take place during heavy rainfall, and that game will quickly turn into the mud bowl before halftime.&nbsp;If you get mud on your team jersey, you&rsquo;ll want to hang the uniform up to dry as fast as possible. Once the mud has dried, shake out the remaining loose dirt with your hands or a soft brush. If the stains remain, douse with a combination of distilled vinegar and iodized salt. Let the mixture sit for 30 minutes, rinse, and place the uniform into the wash as you would normally.&nbsp;

To tackle such stains, first mix together two tablespoons of vinegar with one cup water, then pour over the stain and let it soak. Use cold water to wash it: Heat is only going to make the stain set.
To make extra sure the stain is gone, mix together &frac12; cup baking soda with a tablespoon of salt and hydrogen peroxide and apply that to the stain before washing again.
